The Operational Problem
Selling at volume on a marketplace is not one job. It is product data, images, listing settings, pricing, inventory, orders, promotions, buyer messages, and store policies — each with its own interface, and each affecting the others.
Most sellers end up assembling their own system out of whatever is available: browser tabs for the marketplace, spreadsheets for planning, folders for images, and notes for the differences between stores. Every one of those is a place where information can go out of date without anyone noticing.

One Product Workspace
SellerHint is organized around the product record rather than around the marketplace’s page structure. The Listing Catalog is the working list; Product Details is the single interface for inspecting and editing everything attached to a product.
The same detail interface is reused wherever a product appears, so the layout, the field placement, and the action controls stay in the same position no matter how the record was reached.

Multiple Stores Without Mixed Data
Sellers operating more than one store do not have one set of values with minor differences. They have genuinely separate listings, policies, prices, images, and obligations per store — and mixing them is the failure that costs the most to correct.
SellerHint keeps store-scoped information isolated. Selecting a store changes what the interface is acting on, and remote operations always target the exact listing identity for that store.

Local-First Product Data
Core product information, drafts, images, preferences, and cached marketplace data are stored locally on the user’s Mac. Filtering a large catalog, opening a product, or editing a draft does not wait on a network request.
Local ownership also means the seller’s working data stays on their machine by default. What is sent to the marketplace is the result of an action the seller takes, not a continuous upload of their catalog.

Secure Marketplace Operations
A desktop application is distributed software, so anything inside it should be assumed readable. SellerHint therefore does not carry marketplace application secrets.
Marketplace authorization and supported remote operations are handled through secure cloud services. The application requests an operation; the service performs it. Tokens held on the client are stored in the macOS keychain, and expired or revoked access is surfaced with a clear reconnection path rather than failing quietly.

Native macOS Experience
SellerHint is built for someone who will spend hours inside it, not minutes. That means compact spacing, dense tables, predictable placement, and keyboard operation for the actions performed most often.
It behaves like a Mac application: standard window and menu behavior, results that appear immediately because the data is already local, and long operations that run in the background with visible progress instead of blocking the workspace.
